Painful Stories #1 and #2
Yesterday during the BYU Utah game (painful story #1), we had a party at our house. All of us adults were yelling at the tv and not paying attention to the kids. We heard some noise coming from the back of the family room but no one wanted to be the one to leave the game and check it out. (I really don't know why, considering the misery us BYU fans were in.) Anyway, when we finally went to check on the kids, Trey and his 2 little buddies had taken at least 20 glass balls off of my Christmas tree and were smashing them against the wall. (Painful story #2.) Luckily, only a handful of them were shattered. We discovered the rest of the balls in a pile in the middle of the Christmas tree with the tops pulled off. Oh yeah, and luckily the kids didn't get hurt. What naughty little boys!

Crazy Carrots!!!
Ok, so you know those people who compete over their home-grown veggies? Biggest pumpkins, earliest tomatoes, etc. In........your...........face...........all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!! The top of this carrot from my garden was bigger than Trey's head! You can't really tell from the picture, but the one Bailee is holding had 2 carrots growing out of one. I still have 1/2 a row left in my garden. Should I be scared what I find?
Snow in Autumn
Last winter Trey was sick alot and I never let him him play in the snow. A couple weeks ago when when we woke up to a foot of snow, Trey and I ran to Walmart and bought some snow clothes for him. We spent the rest of the morning playing in the snow together. What a happy boy! All the times last year we stood in front of the window together, staring at his dad and sister making snowmen, was forgotten that morning. Just me and my Trey.
I honestly hate the snow and winters here in Utah. If you know me, you know I complain alot about the cold here. Watching Trey and his excitement gave me a little reality check. The Lord has blessed me. A beautiful little boy, beautiful girl, and loving husband...the snow on a fall day...neighbors who shovel a path for your car, and yes, even a driveway to shovel. Take a little time and give our Father in Heaven some credit by enjoying our blessings.
After Trey's nap and Bailee's homework, Trey went outside for a second time and was able to play with some friends and his sis. He fell in the window well and was furious with me when I pulled him out. He thought it was a blast in there. The snow day ended with the kids and their friends warming up by the fire with hot chocolate and pumpkin cookies. I look forward to a lifetime of days like this.

Recent Events
I finally put more pics on our blog today. Using the computer requires a little too much brain power for me. Hopefully I'll start updating the posts once a week. We'll see how well I stick to it.
This past month has gone by so quickly! Here's some things that have happened in the fam recently:
*Damon turned 31.
*Trey fell off the 4-wheeler and chipped his tooth.
*I spent 3 days reorganizing our garage.
*I turned 28. Gah!!!
*We did alot of fun Halloween activities. (Pumpkin patch, painting pumpkins, Halloween treats, activites at the Legacy Center, party at Bailee's school, Halloween movie and treats with the neighbor kids, Halloween party with friends, trick-or-treating etc.)
*Family pictures 3 times!
*We went to the Jazz game and sat on the 5th row from the floor. We could actually hear the players talking. Oh yeah, and we saw ourselves on Sportsbeat. Exciting, right?
*I finally joined facebook.
*Bailee lost another tooth. (Lost tooth #6.)
*I wrecked the car :(
*I got a new car :)
Ok, so maybe that's not totally exciting, but we've had fun. I love this time of year when it smells so good outside and Thanksgiving is getting closer. Hooray for turkey and pie! I love going running early in the morning when the rest of the world is just waking up. I want to just go on forever. It's so beautiful and peaceful outside! I dread the snow when I have to run on the treadmill.

Halloween
We made bats and pumpkins out of peanut butter bars for a fun Halloween treat. Very bad idea! Tip for idiots: never leave peanut butter, chocolate frosting, sprinkles, and cookie cutters with a 1 yr old and 6 yr old. Fortunately, they didn't get sick. What a mess!
We also went to the pumpkin patch with 2 of my sisters and their kids. Can you believe we got all the kids to stick their cute little faces through the holes in the jack-o-lantern at the same time? That's a once in a lifetime moment.
