On June 13th our Bailee turned 8! To begin the celebrations we went to Chucky Cheeses as a family.
On her birthday morning she opened her gifts from us. Scriptures, scripture case, and a baptism dress with accessories.
Since turning 8 is such a huge deal I wanted Bailee to feel extra special. I wanted it to be a birthday she would never forget. We were planning on going to Hawaii and then canceled due to Damon and I going to Europe. As you can imagine Bailee was very disappointed. So, she chose a luau theme for her birthday. We had dinner, games, dessert, and tons of family and friends. The weather was perfect and we had a blast. Most important, Bailee loved it.
I had originally hired dancers for the luau. Hula, fire knife dancing, slap dancing, and Hakka. Last minute I canceled because we were spending so much money. I quickly had to throw together some activities. We separated the kids into different stations. Game station, tattoo station, dessert station, and voting station. It was a little chaotic, but still ended up being fun.

After singing Happy Birthday, Bailee opened her pile of gifts.
