We enjoyed a handful of camping trips over the summer, as always. We started with a weekend trip to grandma Vyki's cabin.
We spent our time gabbing, eating good food, watching movies, hiking, and being lazy. Always a good combination.
Here's some pics of our hiking adventure.

Over the 4th of July weekend we went to Cedar Mountain for our biannual Blackburn family reunion. What a great turnout.
This is one of those moments where you want to stop what's going on so badly but you just can't because the pictures would be too good.
Uncle Scotty had a trading blanket which actually turned out to be a blast. Everyone brought their junk to trade and some even traded valuable items as well.
I know everyone has a grandma who keeps everything. No. I have the queen of all those grandma's. The queen bee. This is one example. My sweet grandma brought this soda from her cellar to drink. It has one of those ancient metal lids and was dated over 20 years ago. Damon thought it would be funny to try and trade it at the trading blanket but my grandma wan not amused because she really wanted to drink it. How that woman is still alive I don't know. But I'm sure glad she is!
We went with Damon's family up to Payson Lakes for their annual camping trip. Uncle Tim and Aunt Lindsey had a treasure hunt for the little kids, which was a huge hit.
Just before school started we headed to Millsite State Park with our friends, the Riggs, for a whole week. It was a little stormy but quickly cleared.
Isn't this place beautiful?
We became quick friends with our camping neighbors who just so happened to have a boat. Bailee spent probably half the trip on it. We are way less cool parents now. Maybe someday.
Trey was sad whenever Bailee got to go on the boat. Thank goodness for chocolate ice cream...it always solved the problem.
I guess if you can't watch it...play it. We all enjoyed a little football before the campfire at night.
The kids. Behind the smiles:
cranky because they had to help pack to go home
cranky because they had to get their pictures taken
cranky because it was time for camping to end
cranky because they were exhausted from all the FUN!
